Define the component to be produced
This equipment is selected to form external threads on suitable fastener blanks between matched flat dies. A manufacturing enquiry needs the actual finished-part drawing and the condition of the starting material. List blank diameter and material, fastener shape, thread form and thread length. Match the process and tooling
Ask IMC to review flat-die geometry, blank presentation, feeding and changeover requirements for the component schedule. The blank and flat-die profile should be considered together; this is cold forming rather than thread cutting. Preparation, material handling and any subsequent operation should appear in the production plan alongside this process.
Establish acceptance before ordering
